Defending champion Yangon United FC and former champion Hanthawady United FC proudly reached the semifinal in the Myanmar Football Federation’s Digicel Cup.
Defender Nicola's 40th minute drive put Yangon United ahead of the match, defeating Zeyarshwemyay United in the quarterfinal match on October 23.
In the other quarterfinal match, host Nay Pyi Taw FC lost to Hanthawady United.
The semifinal will start on October 28. The Hanthawady United will play the first semifinal match against Yadanapon or Ayeyawady, while Yangon United will battle the second match against KBZ or Rakhine United in Thuwunna Stadium on the same day.
