Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) is in negotiations with Boeing to repair a damaged aircraft, which collided with a tow truck on the ground, sources from the airline said.
The vehicle had faulty brakes and collided with the plane on May 24 while baggage was being loaded. The collision made a two-inch hole in the body and the passengers were transferred to another plane.
The MNA apologised to the passengers for the delay.
“We are negotiating with Boeing to repair it with a mobile team here. They want to repair it in Singapore and we are concerned about the time and cost of repairing it in Singapore. Negotiation are still going on,” said Chief Engineer Lwin Moe Zaw from the airline.
