Singer Khine Htoo passes away

Khine Htoo, the singer-guitarist who has made for such hits as “Sagaing Road”, “Khitta”, “The last dream” and “Inzali,”, has died after struggling with pancreatic cancer. He was 61.

He released many music albums and founded the Phonex music band with his friends, vocalists Moe Kyaw and Yaepyae. He also released “Leave me, I’ll be staying,” with late singer Soe Lwin lwin.

“We are sorry that he passed away. His songs will be remembered forever,” said Vocalist Tu Tu.

Khine Htoo went to Bangkok for treatment when his illness was intense but he came back recently to Myanmar and was hospitalized in Parami Hospital.
