The Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) says it has started processing investment proposals submitted for the establishment of industrial zones, housing and the construction sectors.
On September 19, officials from the DICA held discussions with three companies on hotel and tourism, transport and communication, the establishment of industrial zones, housing and construction sectors.
An official of the DICA: “Until August of this fiscal year, eight foreign companies have invested nearly US$888 million in housing while five private housing investments reached US$116 million. Singapore tops the investor list, followed by China and the Netherlands.”
The Myanmar Investment Law was enacted in October last year.
